Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel, and jazz into the style that is his own. Avery Sunshine has performed on Broadway and in festivals throughout Europe. She has also performed at her appearance at the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's real the name of Denise White. Although she is based in Atlanta but her origins are situated in Chester Pennsylvania. There she first began to develop an interest in music, singing and playing the piano at the church. The musical journey began for her in Atlanta at Spellman College. The Fighting Temptations The single which featured her vocals"Stalk You A House 12, was only released in Japan. The song has been remixed many times, and has become a staple in her live performance. Additionally, she was a part of The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. In 2005, Tyler Perry hired her as his primary keyboardist for his stage play Meet the Browns. In 2007 Grammy and Tony award-winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out to be the director of choral in the production staged by Dreamgirls in the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine was the subject of national media notice during the four shows at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was subsequently invited to sing at the Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
