Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder was born on Winona Minnesota. Parents of Winona Ryder named her for her hometown. Michel Horowitz is her father, while Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder's father came from the Jewish family. Ryder considers herself Jewish. Ryder is also half-sister to Sunyata Jubal. Ryder's younger sister is Uria. Ryder's family relocated to Mendocino County in California when she was seven. In Mendocino County, they did not have electricity. Ryder, who read a lot at the age of 12, became a bookworm since Ryder had no access to television. Ryder began to take acting classes in the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 aged 12 years old. At the age of fifteen, she landed her very first role on the screen in Lucas. Ryder faced bullying in high school. Her acting career, she hoped to help, could have helped her. However, it didn't happen. But she continued to pursue her goal. Ryder made her breakthrough in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in 1988.
