Aaliyah Daniel Haughton exploded to fame in 1994 after her debut album Age Ain't Nothing but a Numer. When she was just 15 the album was awarded Gold status. It was done as part of a group that was greatly influenced by R. Kelly and it brought her into the limelight. In 1996, she debuted her sophomore album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. It contained the top-selling track If Your Girl Only had known. The second album of Aaliyah entitled One in a Million, was released in 1996. It contained the number-one hit single"If You Girl Only Knew. She made her debut in 2000. co-starred with the martial arts icon Jet Li in Romeo Must Die. The role was offered to her following an interview with film director Joel Silver at an awards show. In 2002 she had the opportunity to be part of the vampire flick Queen of the Damned which was an adaptation of The Anne Rice novel. She also was in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. Mann uses Aarti Man as well as Aarti Mahumdar for her stage name. She started her acting career as a minor actor in TV and film performances, but her fame was growing in the late 2000s. Apart from The Big Bang Theory, the other shows she has starred in are Leverage (2013) Suits (2014) and Grey's Anatomy (2017.) Commercials for her show have included major brands, such as Volvo. She continues her acting career in Los Angeles, where she lives with her son and husband.
